How the figures are measured
- State. Operational: the API answers data requests. Degraded: maintenance mode is on, or most data requests failed with a server error (5xx) in one of the last 5 minutes. Down: no Instagram account of the service is free, so data requests answer
503 no_sessions. - Uptime. The share of the minutes in the last 30 days in which the server was running and answered at least half of its data requests without a server error (5xx). It is rounded down, so 100% means not one minute was lost.
- Average response time. The mean time the server took to answer a successful (2xx) data request over the last 24 hours, measured on the server (your network adds to it).
- Last incident. The latest run of lost minutes in the last 30 days: the server did not answer, or most of its data requests failed with a server error. Lost minutes up to 5 minutes apart count as one incident.
- Last updated. The figures are worked out again at most once a minute; this page fetches them again every minute while it is open.
Watch it from your code
GET /api/health returns the same figures as JSON (state, uptime30d, avgLatencyMs, lastIncident, updatedAt). It needs no key and costs no request; see the docs. What changed in each release is in the changelog.
